From the Desk of Heather Christopher: November Updates

Happy belated Thanksgiving! There has been so much happening since I last wrote! I traveled to the Amalfi Coast, worked on #allthetrips, spoke to a group of students at a local university, and even spent some time in the ER with one of my daughters (thankfully she’s better)! I am also went to Belize to learn about new opportunities to bring to future itineraries.

Speaking of what’s been happening…do you remember when I hinted at a passion project I have been working on with Katie at North & Leisure (my supplier partner for Ireland, Scotland + Atlantic Canada) last month? Guess what! We are officially launching Tuesday, December 4th! If you are a travel professional and looking for proven templates, an industry-specific podcast, workcations, and/or mentorship and want to be among the first to know the details, share your email with us here! Also, follow us on Instagram for fun sneak peeks leading up to the official launch 😉

As a friendly reminder, I am currently out of the office & have some additional out of office days coming up:

  • December 4th-12th: Family vacation to Maui
*Also, I plan on taking December off from new client trips, but am scheduling for January already! Please don’t hesitate to fill out the plan your trip form and get on my calendar 🙂
Please give a warm welcome to Chelly Myers, our newest team member who holds the title of Client Documents Manager (and super mom – she has three adorable kids under 4)! If you’ve received your travel documents in the last 8 weeks, then you’ve “met” Chelly!

What’s Trending in the World of Travel Right Now

  • So, what was my favorite Amalfi Coast hotel? I’ve given a lot of thought and I liked or disliked various things at each of them, but collectively I kept coming back to Palazzo Avino for a few key reasons: location – I really loved the town of Ravello, it embodied everything I wanted the Amalfi Coast to be; quaint, little shops & restaurants, gorgeous dramatic views, and then the staff – warm, welcoming, discerning and always there! I dislike when I have to hunt down a staff member because my drink is empty, don’t you?The “Pink Palace” knows how to do breakfast views, room views and an amazing pool surrounded by lush greenery and comfortable pool chairs. When you need quiet after racing around Italy, this is your place!

  • We are now a little less than a year out from the group Brett (my dear husband who puts up with all my antics) and I are hosting next year! We’d love you to join us while we sail on the Rhine and explore castles, taste local beer, get some history and enjoy each other’s company! Please take a look at the flyer below for answers to all your questions. You can find additional FAQs here. Please feel free to share with any friends that may be interested – remember, no space is being held!

According to AFAR, we shouldn’t be so quick to delete or throw away our boarding passes! There are some additional perks you can receive by just showing your boarding pass. Check out this article for a full breakdown!.

As always, let me know how I can help you plan your next trip!
