July 22, 2020 By hctravel Leave a Comment

CJ and Ryan are always a joy to work with; and their excitement is contagious! These two healthcare professionals earned their vacation and I’m so relieved we could get them there and back safely!

Do you love reading “Five on Friday or Friday Fa Do you love reading “Five on Friday or Friday Favorites” blog posts? Or knowing what your internet bestie bought on their last Amazon haul?

Ditto.
It’s a silly but enjoyable past time of mine! I wanna know what’s gonna make my life easier or what Jean shorts may fit my thighs 😆

I have a second newsletter that is going to be a bit more personal & casual starting May 2nd...if you want in the list (or to receive my other once per month - heavy travel focus email) send me a DM!
I am SO nosey so I love seeing/hearing what you gu I am SO nosey so I love seeing/hearing what you guys do all day - isn't that the purpose of social media?! ;)
Here's what my day looks like right now - work focus only, hah
- Try to get dinner reservations for Mama's Fish House in Maui, try every hour + continually have no success thanks to the C
- Work on two honeymoon proposals, both for the Caribbean, not alike in anyway. 2 different budgets, 2 different vibes
- Send out 8 week out emails to a family heading to Playa Mujeres, Mexico in June (A year later than planned)
- Make spreadsheets (honestly not my strength here) for an incentive retreat
- Beg a hotel to honor a rate that wasn't even a week old, y'all travel pricing is supply & demand, I feel like a broken record saying that - if you never believed me before 2021 IS PROVING IT
- Make sure all new inquiries get my Calendly link and/or forward them to the appropriate colleague.
- stare at my task list &check Covid rules again
- Be super behind in invoicing, finally decide I'll spend thirty minutes on it
- Have a call with a property for said incentive trip
- Order mini travel beauty products from Sephora for trip next week
- Update restaurant lists for a family going to Tides Inn this summer, check on closed restaurants in Kauai
- Spend at least 20-30 minutes reading industry articles.
- Communicate back & forth with all of you lovely folks about airfare, activities in destination that you want to book, dinner and spa reservations, insurance questions.
- Hunt down a hotel confirmation that is way overdue
- Email my bookkeeper
- Follow up on commission I haven't received since late 2020
- Schedule meetings with travel industry service providers for new client facing tools
- Schedule client meetings
- Write a description of my business for a new project I'm hoping to get into this summer or fall
- Read quote for one of the said honeymooners + send back edits
- Send 578 Asana notes to Chelly so she can help keep this train moving!
- Schedule training for my little team with a few hotels so we're up to date.
- Try to figure out what my hourly rate would be if I had one
- Text back + forth with colleagues to keep sane/know whats up
Every Christopher said our @tidesinn Easter vacati Every Christopher said our @tidesinn Easter vacation was a 10/10 for fun!

A great option within 4 hours from South Central PA to be on the water, drink great beer, eat Oysters & fresh rock fish tacos, let the kids ride bikes (complimentary), learn to play bocce ball, make new friends, make sand bombs to throw in the Rappahanock, sing karaoke, swing on tree swings, take a pottery class, and everyone falls asleep by 9pm!

The Tides Inn staff felt like a family & were so grateful for treating us like theirs ❤️
Monday’s in Travel Update (via a post instead of Monday’s in Travel Update (via a post instead of IGTV because #postpeloton 😜)

1. Iceland, Ecuador (Galapagos!!), Thailand (opens July 1), Belize, Greece (aiming for mid May) are opened or opening for vaccinated travelers. ✈️✈️
Reach out for details or click the link in my profile to get started!

2. Spring and summer availability is LIMITED for everything domestic & Caribbean.
I don’t say that to discourage you, but to ask you to be prepared to have flexibility on dates and budget and what you’re willing to sacrifice.
And if you aren’t willing, then let’s move the trip to a later date so you don’t have too!

3. It’s not too early to be talking about travel for September and into early 2022! Let’s go friends! 🙌🏽

Also @kir2ben I “cropped” this Willy Nilly because I don’t know what I’m doing and Later made me 😬
PS thank you for the referral ❤️❤️
